Eagle Harbor Inn
Ah, August. How I'm still catching up with you. That said, here is a photo montage to Eagle Harbor Inn, another one of my all time Michigan favorites. Correct that, one of my all time favorites. Period.
Great salad dressing for my sister....
Mine was a tad too much like marinara, but I didn't let it get me down...
Sister's portabella burger. Very good, in need of sauce...
My Aunt trying to pawn her calories off on us...
Finally, my pizza. Sans cheese. AMAZING crust. This is really the whole reason you come here. Disregard the rest of my family and their poor decisions.
We were eyed up and down on the way out. And we laughed about it. But laughing aside we are good looking, and it's no secret I take every opportunity I can to inflate the already large heads of my female relatives, so...looking good ladies.
Enjoy!

Ambassador Round Two and Keweenaw Brewing Company
Here I am, frantically catching up on weeks of eating. July 30-August 4th I was back in the Keweenaw with my family. What does that mean? An Ambassador run. I've extolled the Ambassador's virtues before, and this trip was no exception. Exhibit A: The awesome vegan pizza I was able to procure...
Exhibit B: they now serve the fine Keweenaw Breweing Company on tap...
Getting to taste the KBC, and see the cute cans:
made my meal and helped make the trip.
My opinions: the Keweenaw is fantastic, the Ambassador delicious, and beer one of life's treats.
Enjoy!

My Birthday Cake
I feel like I have no free time. This is exacerbated by tiredness. Anyways, my birthday was last Thursday and eventually I'll get around to posting the food that it led to plus all the other food and beer I'm behind on. Until then here is the actual cake I ended up with. To be fair, the bakery made me lovely cupcakes on my birthday but yesterday at tutorial I got this cake as well.
It is hands down the most delicious cake I've had in a long time.
Enjoy!

Boont Amber Ale

Due to all the personal stuff going on in my life, I am way behind in posting. That said, I tried the Boont Amber Ale on Friday and fell in love....so much in fact it warranted an immediate post to spread the joy.

Apple Pie as Alcohol and Chemo Fog

This picture is small and weird looking, but we drank all of ours and a picture of an empty bottle isn't much help...what I'm getting at is that the family tried Apple Pie the other night and it is the most quick, fantastic way to find yourself falling to the ground. Assuming that is your goal and everything.
I also read this article on chemo today that I thought was pretty interesting and worth sharing.

Jordan and Gatorade
Last night I was thinking about the purpose of saline drips and thought about how Gatorade actually hydrates better than water and then I remembered this....
Enjoy! and for more go here.
